Road Warrior Proves He’s Not A Wuss

I needed a victory today. After wussing out of a Saturday morning run with the Gazoom group because it was too cold outside, I had to prove I AM NOT A WUSS!
“Sure you are,” quipped The Voice.
Hey Voice, if I recall, it was you that said it was too cold to run. So go put on cardigan sweater and sip on another latte. Today I ran a PB. (personal best)
A five mile run with a mile walk mixed in. I wasn’t looking to log miles as much as I was trying to stay on the track for one full hour. I accomplished that.
After cutting a number of workouts short for the weakest of reasons, it sure was nice to reach a goal.
Since many of my fellow Road Warriors are posting quotes, I figured I’d join the party. Tony Dungy said this during a speech at the West Michigan Sports Awards a couple of years ago.
“Talent is God given, be thankful. Praise is man given, be humble. Conceit is self given, be careful.”
