Meet Jill, 27

In 2002 Jill was sitting on a plane heading to Arizona. Alone. Her destination is Remuda Ranch, an inpatient treatment center for women with eating disorders. Throughout her illness running was not a joyful thing, but rather it was a punishment - another way to control her body. For six years post treatment she ran only a handful of times, but in 2009 she decided to train for the Fifth Third 25K. Jill's relationship with running developed into something different, it was joyful movement.

Favorite food:
Thin crisp triscuits with cottage cheese and low fat chocolate milk.

Favorite cross-training activity:
LOVE core workouts and Jillian Michael's videos.

What is on your iPod?:
Only when I am running alone and want to be distracted from my thoughts.

Favorite thing to read:
I'll pick up just about anything.

2010 goals:
Push myself to train hard, race even harder, all while avoiding injury and having fun.
