Being a Road Warrior, we receive a lot by participating in this wonderful program: shoes from Brooks and Gazelle Sports, other gear, our fantastic coaches Mike and Amy, endless support from other team members and the list goes on and on. But, one of the other larger parts of being a Road Warrior is giving back. We are asked to choose a charity to support, raise funds for, and possibly volunteer time to. Dwight Wade and I have chosen to give back to Paws With A Cause.
You have been reading our blogs and asking us how you can help. It’s go time. Our fundraising page is up and we’re building our own little army of warriors whose mission is to help train a puppy. To train one dog will cost $30,000.00. Yup. To some that is a one-year salary. To the people who need these assistance dogs – it’s their entire life. Paws doesn’t charge the people who need them. The funding comes from supporters like YOU and me and Dwight. People who care enough to give 5 or 10 or 20 (insert your own amount HERE) to help another person have a life. Because to some of these people, this dog will BE THEIR LIFE. This dog will be their lifeline to living as close to a normal life as they’ll ever get.
Dwight and I have decided to make our goal $15,000.00 – or half a dog. You can donate money HERE or you can join our team HERE and help us garner funds. Either way, you are helping change someone’s life for the better.

This is Felix and he’s one of the reasons why I’m running. He’s my partner and will always be my first baby. I know what it means to have him in my life. I can’t imagine what it
would be like to rely on him for basic chores like opening a door, or getting me a phone, or telling me that someone is at the house. Once again, to someone else this dog wouldn’t be just a companion, it would be the difference between life and not having a life.

I was waiting for this post. Donated! Hope you reach your goal and I will definitely encourage everyone I know to donate as well!
Thank you thank you thank you! We seriously can’t thank you enough! And yes, please repost the blog, link or both. Every little bit helps
Hi Kristen: It looks like it worked. I was able to sign up under Road Warriors. Can u check to confirm i did it right. ?? And, please let me know when the Road Warriors will be meeting. I’m excited about running with a team for this years 53run.
I figured out what I was doing wrong when signing in to become a fundraiser. I was inputing my complete email address as my username, and my username was actually only part of it.
Thanks for your help.
